I know I'll get a lot of you are crazy or stupid or seek help responces, but I already think I am worthless and don't need any help in the negative thought department. So my question is why don't I feel pain when I intentionally cut, burn, or hit myself but I do when it's an accident or someone else doing it? Also why do doctors not use pain numbing medication when they are treating (stitches) self inflicted injuries...even if you ask for them? Is it normal to not feel anything physically? I accidently cut deeper than I intended to because I couldn't feel it.

My mother used to beat me with a rubber hose and call me a retard until i was 23 and got my GED so could get away from home and work in a restaurant. Yesterday I was fired when i gave a lady the wrong happy meal and she called me a retard. I had flashbacks of when i was 20 and sat by the sprinkler in the yard while my mother smashed me in the head with the piece of rubber, telling me to stop being so ****** stoopid and finish school. I lost it and threw happy meals and mcchicken sandwiches all over the place and stormed out. What can i do to put my past behind me?

everything started in the library..one day i had to go under his table to remove something tht belongs a shy arab girl...the next day he sat in front of me ..but i did not look at him...then he sat with his back facing me...he one day he finally shifted to teh seat right behind me..and on that day,i actually got pissed at him for asking me to go somewhere if i want to talk.mind u , i did not like him then.i shifted to another seat the same day and guess what, he moved to an area rigth across...i used to look away when he looks at me, of course with hatred because he has this air as if he is so great just because he is good looking.well..we make eye contacts and thats all...he left one day because he graduated,and after ten months,i met him again.as a doc in the hospital.initially did not recognise me because i had my hair straightened..then when he did he started the eye contact bussiness again..initially i was shy to look.after tht, i started looking at him.we have never spoken .

Don't tell me to join the army or anything like that please. I'm talking realistically. I am a college student, so I don't think it would be hard to raise some money.
