Don't tell me to join the army or anything like that please. I'm talking realistically. I am a college student, so I don't think it would be hard to raise some money. I just don't know where to start or who to raise it for. I'm not a big fan of Pres. Bush & the government as a whole, so I would like to give to a charity or something like that..... Or if you have any other ideas about what I could do to help out; any suggestions would be helpful!

As for the "she doesn't want to dirty her hands" comment. If you could read correctly, you would understand that I am wanting to get involved. It is not realistic for me to join the Army right now, the only other thing I know to do is raise money.... That is why I posted this question to get ideas. I am wanting to get involved, get dirty, and get results!

Actually, the best way to help is to help our troops. If there is a USO in your area, contact them. The American Red Cross can give you suggestions as well. It would be nice to organize collections for care packages. If you are involved in any kind of media club/major, you could bring in family members to tape messages. Start a collection for the canine unit. They can always use cold packs, first aid supplies, and those booties.

I'm sure your efforts will be appreciated. Every bit helps. Good luck.

Ok, this is interesting... you want to do something about terrorism. Well, I guess there is no nice way to say that, but it is impossible. There is no charity that raises money to 'fight terrorism', the only organization that claims to do this is the US Army. And no monetary donation or donation of time, save a few years enlisted, will help out any more.

There is one thing that causes most of the terrorism that effects America. That would be globalization. Think about it. That's why 9/11 happened. That's why Osama attacked the USS Cole. That's why we are in Iraq (getting more Islamists angry at us). Globalization. To fight terrorism, fight globalization. Stop supporting international companies, stop supporting politicians that have global-take-over agendas. That may not do very much, but it could be a start.

Hello dear Brooke!!
Well, first we have to think!
Then, discuss with others based on dialog rules (not to convince the others but to find the truth!)
Then, clear ourselves (mainly thinking, ideas, opinions) from the Media influence, so that we could see the Truth!
Eventually, we will reach to a point to understand who are the terrorists!
For me, states are the greatest terrorists. Their main forces are: religions, taxes, laws (which are manly against people's rights), armies, many companies, ...
Good luck and continue thinking how to free ourselves and allow our children (when we have them) to live better!

First form a club on campus and find ways to raise money for the club to fight against terrorism and then have the money go to the NSA or another organization that fights against terror.

Do something for people who really need help and don't follow others. Find information about Derfur and all the problems they have in there. All you have to do is to inform people about the situation. Some parts of the world are forgotten, leaders do nasty things to their people...and the world don't know or don't care, because they care only for what it is on TV.

theres not a whole lot of actions one can take...i spent time in the military and know that the gov has all the funding for this..you could donate money to the minute man project..besides tracking illegal immigrants, they also try to help fight the war on terrorism.

The best way to fight terrorism is to be a snitch.. tell on your neighbors, family, and friends, and even yourself. Report them to the authorities. Authorities love getting inside info from people who are close (and not suspected of being snitches from those who are being snitched on) to "dangerous elements". However you won't have many friends left who will trust you, but so.. they're terrorists!

Buy pre-paid cell phones. Don't activate them. That takes them off the terrorist market. They are kinda cheap. Groups could do it. But be warned you could be tracked, that's the dirty part. Find a legal and real Charity to donate them too first. You could mail them to the military, they could give them to our service men to call loved ones at home. I just read the service men in Iraq have to pay for their own calls, the officers in Iraq don't pay.
It cost tax payers $350,000 for Cheney to go quail hunting in Texas.
Bush has taken 30 vacations in office. Each one cost tax payers about $650,000 for security, Air force One and his chopper rides.
Our service men should get to call home free.
