I am interested in researching my salary compared to similar ones in the industry. I want to ask for a raise, but I want to be prepared with proof and factual research that I should be making more. I work in the corporate office of a management company. We own 6+ distributing companies in the US and more than 300 employees. Are than any useful websites or books that could help?

I had a job, a crappy one at that. But I had to quit because I was moving. Now I have nothing. My sister and everyone else says I just might have to wait until I have the baby to look for a job. Because no one is going to want to hire someone pregnant. I thought about this before, but is this true? Should employers not hire me because I'm a soon to be mother? If so, is that even fair?

And if I must stay at home, anyone know of a home-based job that I can do, that isn't an entire scam.

Plez help... 19, in Michigan and pregnant.

My boyfriend has male friends that are really getting on my nerves. We don't live together and everytime I turn around they are hanging over his house. He complains about it but he still lets them come over. It seems like he is attached to their company. They are in their 20's and 30's and they act like children. They drink alot, play poker all the time and just act like idiots. We never go out anymore and when I mention to him how I feel he gets upset and says I am trying to run his life! He's says I act immature and I am nieve! I know I am not either. I dont know why he is acting like this. It makes me wonder what am I being nieve about? His one friend is around him 24 7 and everytime you turn around he is calling. My boyfriend invited me over and he asked me if his friend could come over and watch a movie with us. I couldn't believe it I hadn't seen him in over 2 weeks and he wanted this clown to join us!! He is making me feel insecure! What does his friends have that I dont?

I'm replacing a light fixture in my bathroom, and the instructions with the new fixture are pretty bad. I'm trying to figure out how to ground it. The strap with the new fixture has a green screw marked ground,but the fixture also has a ground wire. Can I just ignore the strap and attach the ground wires together?

My boyfriend has very needy friends...his phone is constantly ringing off the hook and his house is like Grand Central Station...people are always in and out. I don't really mind because we both have the same basic circle of friends and I get along with all his good friends, but its frustrating when I want to be alone with him.

So the other day we were alone and started having sex. The phone rings while I'm on top so he stops me and asks me to check the phone to see who it is! Neither of us knew the number so he took the phone and asked if he should answer it... I'm still sitting on top this whole time! I almost freaked out but I just said 'put the frigg*n phone down' and we laughd about it. After we were done, I told him how pissd I would have been if he had answered it and he apologizd so it was ok. But that has never happened to me before and it still kinda irritates me when I think about it. Has it ever happened to u? Did you get pissed? What did u do? 10 pts for funniest story
