EVERYWHERE I turn, the talk is August 22nd. I work at a college and several of my colleagues have been talking about it. Is the date significant? Why are there so many coincidences? Should I make preparations?

My husband and I have a four year old female cat who has been our spoiled princess for a while now- almost three weeks ago we got two male kittens- we introduced them slowly- we kept the kittens in their own room for a while first letting them and our other cat smell eachother under the door and through a pet carrier- we slowly let the kittens come into the rest of the apartment- they still stay in their own room at night and when we are not home- we even got Feliway spray and plug-ins but our cat is still scared of the kittens- she either runs away or hisses at them if they get too close to her- at night time our cat has started to meow at the front door (she is not an outdoor cat and never leaves our apartment)- our kittens try to play with our cat sometimes but she is too afraid- we don't know what else to do- we want to keep our kittens but we don't want our cat to be miserable- will she ever get along with them? What else should we do? (we also give our cat extra attention)

My son is 5 and when my wife's biological mother came to visit for a week, she couldn't believe how much we let him run around. Our son is only allowed to stay on our street (4 houses to the left and 4 houses to the right) and on go to certain homes. He has to tell us which home he is going to and then come home and ask to go to another home. We talk to all the parents and will take walks outside to spot check him. Of course my mother-in-law checked the sex offenders list (which we have done too) and sent an e-mail to my wife about it all.
While we would be devasated if anything happened to him, we don't want to make him afraid of the world. How do you walk that fine line? Is it really that horrible in the world or are we just more aware of it now and overreacting?

I am a 37 year old with a strange feeling i can't describe well, over the years, back to when i was a teenager. but more often now days as i get older. i have recently noticed it happens more around my period, i never noticed before because it was so few and far between these episodes. anyway, it's like a reminiscent feeling, strong, comes on slowly, i feel little confused and faint, but only did ONCE, and it passes in like a minute or so. i usually lay my head down and dont' wanna talk. but i am completely coherent, sp?) about what is going on around me, just feel really sublime and peaceful after wards. tired but it doesn't feel like panic, maybe anxiety? i have had problems with nerves for long time, am currently on zoloft, i have been checked out, discussed this with a few dr's. all of which think it's panic attacks. i thought those lasted a while and felt scarey?? this isn't really scarey, just almost like de javu

The day He asked me out and I said yes it was at like 11 at night and we were sitting out in front of my garage and He took his cell phone out and started deleting people and I said what are you doing and he said "deleting all the girls" and i said No, dont.. you dont have too and he said "no baby, i want too ok?" and I said fine.. So, than last night he called me and we were talking and he was like "i know you just got out of a bad relationship but im not good at taking hints on if you want me to do something" and I said kay i want to wait and he said "okay thats completly fine, im not pressuring you or anything i just might need a little heads up when you want too" so i said alright. He tells all his friends about me, he introduces me to everyone as his "beautiful girlfriend" and he looks me in the eyes and tells me he loves me && i just melt..

So does he really really care about me? Or is this some joke to get in my pants than leave me? Or what you think hes feeling??

Sometimes my pupils (in my eyes) are drastically different in size...sometimes slightly..sometimes not at all. Is this something that just happens with some people? Has anyone else had this? I'm looking for firsthand experience. Thanks everyone :)

P.S. - I know I should see a neurologist..and I will..I'm just looking to see if anyone has firsthand experience of what this could be. Can it be benign?

Using our sense of reasoning:
Since the time of the Romans, high taxes were forced from the poor and a vulgar sum spent on bulding opulent churches, many of them still standing today. Look at many of the thousands of churches built not too long ago.. multi-million dollar mega projects!
Can't people worship in much simpler churches and donate the millions to the poor, starving Africans, etc who die in the thousands everyday?

My daughter attends a large University, she is in her 3rd year. As a Christian she has had numerous nasty run-ins with atheist professors who have not withheld their hate for Christianity and Christians in general...one told her that EVERY Christian is a moron and 5000 years behind in the times. BTW..my money pay's his salary...and Christian founded this school 137 years ago.

Why on earth do we allow these people to teach our children when the vast majority of us don't agree with these people?

I know most of these people can't get REAL jobs outside of accademia...they can't survive in the real world...but why should we put up with these nasty liberals who are so far outside the main-stream of the vast majority of us. I've read in a survey that not one describes themselves as a Christian...92% vote democratic.

why do we put up with this?
