Why is it when i'm sitting outside, birds will fly by right overhead of me? I'm not eating, i'm just sitting on a bench. From the whole entire sky, why pick the part directly above me? are they aiming?

haha...All creatures are curious, and they may just be checking you out.. it could be possible that you are close to their nest and they are making sure you are not a threat. If they thought you were a threat, they may swoop down close to you as if to scare you away.

Oddly enough, the birds often fly over people looking for a good spot to poop. They think we might be statues (which are created just for birds) and all birds know that if it doesn't throw bread or french fries at you... it must be a statue.

you might want to consider more movement, and an occasional "duck and roll" maneuver just to throw 'em off

yes, of course they're getting ready to shoot! do you really expect a bird to swirve around just to ensure they don't fly over you when they could get rid of so crud on you? They enjoy that kinda stuff. As long as these birds aren't pelicans named Goose (from bad movie "Racing Stripes") i think you dont have much to worry about, the may just be checking if your the little old lady that throws them bread crumbs

They used to do that to me all the time when I mowed. You are probably attracting bugs with your perfume, lotion or soap you use. They birds are diving down and eating the bugs.
