How can people believe in mythical beings and invisible men in the sky? Religion is just so odd. I just don't understand how people can be so easily duped. Are people that afraid of dying that they have to invent an afterlife? WOW. silly isn't it. It's kinda along the same lines as hobgoblins, unicorns and vampires.

I have this male friend, we get along fine. But recently I have noticed that everytime we talked about something exciting or funny, he always throw me a big hug.

Is it because he's a Greek? Is it because he has some feeling for me? I just wanted to know whether just a friendly way or I am worrying too much.

I am a 23 year old student and I still live with my parents maily due to financial reasons. My father has never been very affectionate to me or to anyone else but we really didnt have any problems until I grew up into a woman and started to make decisions about my life. He seems to disagree with me in everything. How I dress, where I go, The people I respect or hold dear, Friends, Education, Morals and beliefs! For Example he expects me at this age to be his slave and bend down to his every command. He tells me to dress in a way that would make any 19th century woman frown, he refuses to aknowledge the changing of time and the differences in between different generations, he doesnt want me to dress in light colors or go out with friends. my mother defends me all the time and so their relationship has deteriorated. Im beginning to think him mentally ill but he refuses medical advice or counselling. he has driven me to the point of suicide three times, I feel trapped, I need advice.

Now I am fit, and I have absolutely no problem with thicker women. I admire it actually. And everytime I say that people ask me why would I say such a thing. I always got dirty looks from other women and they talked about me because I am skinny. I hate that word because I really don't think that I am. But I eat alot and is genetic. Is it really fair to me and other genetically small women to be criticize? I understand that alot of people make fun of bigger women. Hey, everyone is different. So deal with it.

If god really exists, and if human is created by god.
Then, why god doesn't make human to be unquestionable accepting his/her existence at first place.
For examples,
Human survival skills. In order to survive, you have to believe in god. Leanring skills. In order to learn more things, you have to believe in god. Thinking skills. in order to think, you have to believe in god.
(If I am god, I would do that, that's a no-brainer.)

Obviously, in realistic human society, there are many people don't believe in god.
So, my last question will be:
Is the god created by human being?
If it is no, then answer my first question.
If it is yes, then what are the reasons to make you want to follow those dogma. Why not choose to be yourself.

I like gun rights and all but there has to be a limit!the "special kid" from my neiborhood grazed my left cheek when we went hunting once, althought the scar looks kinda cool, I still think that kid isn't capable to handle a gun.
