What choice would you have? Move on and start fresh.

I don't know what you're referring to unless it was the real estate scams in Mexico. Where people didn't -- or couldn't -- get title insurance, and it turned out the outfit that sold them their land didn't own it.

I would never buy real estate without title insurance.

Besides that case -- and others in Mexico that weren't mistakes but were real scams -- land has been stolen from foreigners (and from politically disliked natives) all over the world, forever. Either by eminent domain, or crooked judges, or simply by arresting the owner and "letting" him escape from the country with his life, abandoning his property.

If and only if you lost a business overseas and had insurance with the US Government's OPIC (Overseas Private Investment Corp.) would you get reimbursed.

I would join the foreign country and kick my own home country's azz.
If my own country's government refuse to do anything then I have no reason to be loyal to it.
