Now I am fit, and I have absolutely no problem with thicker women. I admire it actually. And everytime I say that people ask me why would I say such a thing. I always got dirty looks from other women and they talked about me because I am skinny. I hate that word because I really don't think that I am. But I eat alot and is genetic. Is it really fair to me and other genetically small women to be criticize? I understand that alot of people make fun of bigger women. Hey, everyone is different. So deal with it.

It's envy. They wish that they could be skinny. I feel bad about being skinny sometimes just because I know that it hurts some of my friends that aren't. I was very fortunate though, and count my blessings.
I have no problem with bigger women- so long as they are not actively complaining that the world is so harsh to them, and they don't at least make a REAL attempt at trying to get healthy. I can't stand when some bigger women just complain and do nothing to change their situation.
I also don't like the whole idea of glamorizeing unhealthiness, weather it's skinny or large.
I won't make fun of a woman for being big or too skinny. Some of my bigger friends are some of the most wonderful people that I've ever met. I mean, what's the point of making fun of them? A majority of them have enough on their plate to worry/be miserable about as it is =(

I understand your question. The thing is that bigger women are so used to being criticized for their weight that it's practically impossible for them to conceive that you'd find it admirable. They know they are overweight, they hear all the health advice, and close their eyes everytime they get on the scale. They're conscious of being fat much more than a thin person, b/c a thin person doesn't really think about their size that much. Whenever you are that self-conscious of something, it's going to be a sensitive subject, so it's just best to leave it alone. Especially, b/c no matter how hard they try, it's practically impossible for them to not look at thin women and feel envy. I'm sure they feel an injustice, the 'why me' feeling, as in why should you be naturally thin, yet they battle constantly with their weight and are still fat. You see?

I can only give you this answer b/c at one time I was very overweight, and now I'm really thin. So, I see things from both perspectives.

So by bigger women, you mean thick women, not fat?

I'll tell you what annoys me, is when skinny women call thick women fat or big, when they are actually a healthy weight. Maybe this is why they give you dirty looks.

I don't think it's is anything to do with how you look, but how these women may think you are perceiving them. I know this is a generalisation and it shouldn't happen, no one should judge anyone, but this may be the reason.
