First of all, an example.
Yesterday, I was playing Scrabble on-line. (Yes, my workday gets boring:) I logged in, and the first thing that came up in the chat was this. Direct quote:
"GAYS NEED TO BE SHOT IN THE BACK"
y?
"cuz God will destroy them all. it says so in the bible."
OK. Just so you know where I'm coming from, I am a Christian. I also believe that homosexuality is not the way we were intended to function. And now that we have an example, on to my question...
Why do Christians feel that they need to yell at the top of their lungs about how the entire world is going to hell? Does that accomplish anything? Do you think that someone's going to respond positively to that?? You need some sort of reason to back yourself up, other than text they don't believe.
And the same goes for others. I've noticed many atheists respond to Christian questions with statements such as
"its all lies"
"ur disillusioned"
Why can't we have honest yet open discussion between different sets of beliefs??
