cruelty to animals. I always want to go to all the labs and save all the animals and go to every back yard and loosen up the chains to dogs and stop all the animal beatings and abandonment. then i realize i can't do that. what can i do? should i volunteer at a shelter?

Example: true story...When I was a teenager I used to babysit for a sister of mine. After I put my nephew and niece to bed, and eventualy, I went to bed, the house would be quiet and as I was trying to fall asleep, I would hear footsteps in the attic. I would check my nephew and niece to make sure they were ok, and that the windows and doors were locked, as well as the basement, but I never checked the attic. Then I would fall asleep listening to the footsteps. This happened almost every time I baby sat . I never told anyone about it. When I got older I figured out what caused the footsteps.

I have a cat Oscar and when I offered her a ball of string and a toy mouse she didn't seem to bother much but when I was changing she attacked my belt and since then whenever she sees a belt, she'd play with it, before she attacked my sock when I was tidying, and when I was watching TV Oscar was making a racket upstairs and when I went up there she'd somehow managed to wrap herself in a bundle of toilet roll! Since then they've been all she plays with! Now, I've never had a cat that weird before!

a handful she always needs to be the loudest in the room and wants her father's attention at all times. When he isn't around she behaves but as soon as he enters the room she acts horrible. When I speak to my boyfriend he just brushes it off and says she's his kid and I shouldn't worry about it. He says that he wants a mother figure in his daughter's life since her real mother died in a car accident but that's as much as he'll tell me about his ex-girlfriend's death. I love him but i'm not in love with him because of the way he acts and the way his daughter acts. I broke up with him 4 separate times and took him back because, he's come back crying and makes the situation seem sad so I take him back. But I don't know if cutting my ties with him will be the best thing or trying one more time to stick it out with him would be good?

I work at a call center on the west coast, I started out making $8.00/ hr, and am up to $8.75/hr after 10 months, probably closer to $9.25/ hr. after my year is up. My co-workers always complain that this is the lowest paid call center on the west coast, and that we should be starting out at $10.00/hr. What I'm asking, has anybody ever worked at a call center, and if so what did they get paid?
