Does anyone no why did Athrun decide to go back to the plant in Gundam Seed Destiny around episode 8...?

why did athrun decide to go back to the plant...is it like something about people still believe in his father's words or something...if not why...and what if people still believe in his father's words so wat...by the way what is the plant is it like a planet where coordinators live....

He decided to go back because there was nothing that he could do while he was on Orb and he was bothered by the fact that people still believed in his father's words and actions. What his father wanted was to kill and get rid of all the Naturals so that only the Coordinators would live. That's exactly why he and Kira had fought in Gundam Seed (to prevent Athrun's father's plans from happening). And yes, Plant is where all the Coordinators live and it is the home of Athrun and Lacus.

1. What is Chairman Durandal's true intentions?
2. Will he do the same things his father did?
3. Will he attack Orb?

PLANT is not a planet. PLANT stands for Productive Location Ally on Nexus Technology. The PLANT sponsor nations (The African union, The Oceania union) built them because they needed new living space because there were to many people on earth. For some reason, only coordinators lived there.

He returns to PLANT in order to investigate what is really happening there (like what does Gilbert really want, why are there still people in PLANT believing in his father's words, etc.)

--> Well, his dad insists that all naturals must be killed (somewhat along that line). Of course, Athrun understands that Naturals are not bad people as his dad thinks they are, so he is very well against that.

PLANT is the country(?)/ space colony where all coordinators live.
