Just the other night I saw, much to my chagrine, an answer here in this forum (a "best answer" no less) that went something like: "When is everyone going to acknowledge that if the theory of evolution had any scientific evidence to back it up, it wouldn't be "just a theory."

Did people like this actually learn about theories and hypotheses and the scientific method in school? Or did they sleep through that lesson, or just skip class, or what?

Here's a little refresher: an hypothesis is an idea about the way something works in the world; once it's tested, using the scientific method, AND THE OUTCOME OF THE TESTING SUPPORTS THE HYPOTHESIS, the hypothesis becomes a theory. That is, a theory is an idea about the way the world works THAT IS SUPPORTED BY SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.

Regarding why most everything in science, not just evolution, remains "just a theory," you can never be 100% sure that your outcome isn't due to chance. You can be 99.99% sure (as for evolution), but not 100%.

I was dianogised with gestasional diabetes when I was pregnant with my son 4 years ago. And now I have adult diabetes type 2 and I haven't been paying close attention to it, until just recently. I have started getting weaker no energy and tonight I have noticed both of my toe nails on my big toe are coming off. Is this part of it too?

Okay Christians. I just was reading another question and CHRISTIANS were saying that Jesus is not God. It is things like this that give Christianity a bad name. Jesus most surely is the Alpha and the Omega, the second person of the trinity, the only person ever to have they hypostatic union.......

Financial buffs, when it comes to finance, I'm an infant. I made a couple of purchases online, one at a shoe store, one at a music (instrument) store, and both were declined since I had unknowingly over-charged my card. The card "reserves the right" to change the limit at any time, and they reduced it by $500 and I had no idea (Quite ghetto). So...
1. Is that a huge mark on my credit score?
2. Is it commone to retain a card but never use it (I have one I'm reserving for a big, $7000 purchase later)?
3. What amount of money is considered a lot of debt?

I'm lost..hurt and mad at myself..I did a bad thing that i feel so sorry for...I asked this girl out and she said yes to me..I was thrilled and happy..After that i never did anything..I never called her and i never took her anywhere..Even though i said i would..I liked her soooo much.the thing was i was scared..i was nervous i didn't know what the next step was so i let time fly.For about 3 months i just pretended nothing ever happen..I didn't know what to do.. I stated datin this guy when i was 15 (John) he went in the navy about 8 months into our relationship well right after he left i found out i was preg. well when i was 17 i was tired of being alone i never got to see John. I met this guy (Roy) we dated for a lil over a year i thought things were great well one day Roy came home from work and told me to get out, so i left for about a year i just dated differant guys well i thought it was time to settle down. I waited a year for Roy but he made it clear he didnt want me back . well i married John we have been married 2 years but a couple days ago i talked to Roy and he told me he regreted letting me go we have been talkin alot the past week. Now i want Roy back so bad but im married and i dont want to hurt John we have 2 kids together. the past 3 years since Roy and i broke up there isnt a day that goes by that i dont think of him i dream of him alot.should i go w/ my heart and leave my husband for Roy the man i think i truly love??

personally i think it is overrated, though i do enjoy it so much (lol)
but im sure we all eat it alot, especially at "buffets" these days
do you think there should be more special restaurants instead of just "chinese food" or "italian food"

It is shoulder length and my bangs r just about as long. I've worn it in a ponytail since kindergarten. Sad I no, but now I can't keep it from gettin frizzy when i wear it down or try to straiten it, and it won't hold curls.
