Okay Christians. I just was reading another question and CHRISTIANS were saying that Jesus is not God. It is things like this that give Christianity a bad name. Jesus most surely is the Alpha and the Omega, the second person of the trinity, the only person ever to have they hypostatic union.......

How many Christians her actually believe that Jesus is not God??

I never said that Jesus was the Father. i said that Jesus is GOD.. Jesus is divine. This is basic mainline Christian teaching.

Anyone who denies the divinity of Christ is not a Christian at all.

There is alot of confusion going on these days in christianity and it is because we are living in a time that Paul tells us that we will be seduced by "doctrines of devils". Jesus also reminds us of the preponderance and subtilty of falsehood that "if possible" would decieve the "very elect."

The identity of Jesus is a matter of faith and faith cometh by hearing the Word of God. According to the scriptures, for example Hebrews 1:8, John 1:1 & 14 and Isa. 7:14; 8:8 all tell us that Jesus Christ is God.
However,it is important to recognise that the name "God" is usually attached to the father. For example, when we read Gen 1:1 as a child we tend to say it was God the Father who created the world; on the contrary it was Jesus the Son (John 1:1, Col 1:16,17 & Heb1:10.

I am Baptist and I do believe that Jesus is not God. Here are some quotes from the Bible.
Matthew 3:17...And the voice heaven said," This is my Son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased "
17:3,5...Suddenly Moses and Elijah appeared and were talking with him. But even a he said it, a bright cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, " This is my beloved Son, and I am wonderfully pleased with him. Obey him"
26:39,42,44..He went forward a little, and fell face downward on the ground and prayed, "My father! If it is possible, let this cup be taken away from me. But I want your will, not mine" ( Jesus prayed 2 more times in 42, 44 ..before he returned to his disciple)
There are so many verses you could find Jesus is not God.
Try Acts 2:25-28, 29:32-35; 7:55 &56
Hebrews:1,2,3,; 5:4-10; 6:20; 7, 7 & 9

Young lady, I suggest you go back and read your own question. You even stated that Jesus is the second person in the trinity. Father Son and Holy Ghost. Meaning, Father = God, Son = Jesus, and Holy Ghost = the spirit.. Now..after explaining that, you tell Me if you think Jesus is God.
Jesus, was Gods son. Jesus, was the one that died on the cross for you and I, and Jesus, was born of the Father = God. He had Gods blood running through Him through His Father, but Jesus most certainly was NOT God. Jesus, prayed to God in the garden before He died. Did you forget that Jesus asked if God could take this cup from Him. Meaning that Jesus was human, and that He knew His death was upon Him. That He didn't want to be crucified...But ...Jesus also said...None the less..Not My will but Yours = God be done.
Also did you forget that on the cross He stated, " Father = God, Forgive them for they know not what they do"
Sweetie..go back to bible school, reread what you have read, because somewhere..its gotten twisted in your mind.

I do. I feel He is a separate entity, IE, the SON of God and therefore not God. I pray to both, not just God. I have always believed that and I always will. In addition, just because someone is a Christian does not mean that they follow ALL of the Christian ideals. Some of them are a little off key and do not work well since they are biased to some degree. Good question!!

Jesus is not God, and never claimed to be God, but only the son of God. Please read Your bible and get the facts straight before asking questions like this. Its people like you that give Christianity a bad name, by saying things that are not right, and not doing your research first. So, quit saying that those who have their facts straight are giving Christianity a bad name, when it's people like you, who don't know what your talking about who give it a bad name. Next you'll be saying that the bible gives you the right to beat your children because it says "spare the rod, and spoil the child"

JESUS IS GOD
Thank you, Michelle. I agree on every point made. A true Christian would not likely say that Jesus is not God. Jesus had to be God to be perfect and sinless so He could die on tGod is the cross for the remission of our sins. Only God is perfectly holy. Jesus has to be God to have the power of the ressurection. One of the names of Christ, "Emmanuel" means God with us. Jesus Himself stated "I and my Father are one. John 1:1-4 says, " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men." The Word, as we know, is Jesus himself.

Pardon me, I do not call myself a Christian, but I am educated in a Christian school, Baylor University.

May I ask then if you believe that Jesus was God, how can you rectify that belief with this:

Matthew 27:45-46

* "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
* And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

Is Jesus praying to himself? Jesus was Jewish. Jews had only one God. Jesus was praying to God.

Just my take on it. No offense meant. I am curious to see what answers you get.

Who says so? That is just plain ignorance. If you are a Jones, does that mean that your son is not a Jones? God is the family name, Father God, Son or Jesus God, and Holy Spirit God. All are God just as you can be a father Jones, a son Jones and even a brother Jones. Nothing so difficult about that.

seriously how dumb are you to believe that Jesus is god. Derrrrr.
Hes is a man. Son of god, meaning created by god. We are all son and daughters of god. We are all god.
Any one can attain what Jesus THE christ Attained. Your Religion is based on power and fear, and leads you to believe that any one like that must be god. There have been people like Jesus many a time to walk this earth who attained CHRISTHOOD. What a powerless world you must live in to think that no human can accomplish any thing great.

God is Jesus father. I think a lot of people doesn't understand the trinity. You have the father, the son and the holy spirit. If you know my son, you know me. Gods speaks through his son Jesus.
