So what are your thoughts on this North American Union? Is it really such a good idea to have open borders between US and Mexico?

My first serious relationship when I was 19 the guy ended up coming out and being gay. I have dated men since. Then 16 years later after several normal relationships my ex fiance who I was with for 5 years turns out to be gay. We've been broke up for a year and I found out now that he came out and is gay.

my husband was over seas working, when he came home to visit for 2 wks he was always on the computer, i didnt thing much, but one day when i got home from school he was acting wierd. So i checked out the comp. & found his own personal web pages w/ pictures of himself that he also sent to me. I also found profiles of him, stating he was single and looking for someone to talk to. When i confronted him about it, of course he denied it. Then when i showed him what i had found, of course he said he was sorry, it was all a game, some of the guys were bored and used his name /address etc.. i told him he cheated on me, but he doesnt see it that way. He said he never slept w/anyone. well i took him back, and about 6 mths later i found out he was looking at profiles again, his included. i dont trust him like i use to , i dont even love him like i did, im in a marriage that i dont believe in & a husband i cant trust.. but im afraid to end it because i dont want to disappoint my family. help

what does the R in the circle behind some names mean? I think they're brand name. Like, I saw one today that said Curves and then a little R in a circle behind it.

A recent Horizon TV programme here in the UK reported that living organisms exposed to relatively low level radiation in the Chernobyl fallout area (but much higher than average background levels) showed no significant increase in cancer - In fact low level radiation appears to activate genes which are involved with repair of genetic material, thus providing a protective effect.

If this is the case, then aren't we actually safer doing some moderate sunbathing without sunscreen, than slapping on the sunscreen and staying out for hours on end? It seems to me that the increase in skin cancer in many parts of the world in recent years coincides with an increase in the use of sunscreen. Certainly, no sunscreen manufacturer claims that their products prevent or even limit skin cancer, because there's no evidence that they do. It may well be safer not to use the stuff, and let your skin protect itself naturally instead.

Any expert opinions welcome...

My sons and I say a prayer everytime a fire truck, police car, or ambulance pass by us within hearing and have the siren sounding. We pray for those in danger or illnes. I was just wondering if Protestants had any of the same practices.

I know that there are so many political and social issues in the U.S. Sometimes we all want something one way or the other, and sometimes we feel like the government is taking our rights and freedoms away, even though we live in a highly stable democratic republic country.

But how many of you honestly look at many of the other nations in the world and say to yourselves, "better here, than there"?

If not, then why?
