So what are your thoughts on this North American Union? Is it really such a good idea to have open borders between US and Mexico?

It could have advantages if we the Americans could educate the Mexicans for 20 years to maybe get a whole generation smart enough to be on par with the Americans and Canadians.
It'd be like the unification of West and East Germany. The economy would be hurt for many years until the other half gets up to the same standard. You can't join poor people with better off people because they aren't nearly equal enough.

I don't think such a union will ever happen in the near future. This union will not serve American inter rests as Mexico will benefit more from that union than united states.

It is the combination of the U.S. ,Canada, and Latin America. The capitol will be based in Atlanta.
Uh, unfortuately we have open borders with Mexico. If we really wanted to stop the influx of imigrants we would have done so. Check out this link.
