My friend whom I work with's ex boyfriend will not leave her alone, but he lives 2 houses down from her. The reason she left is because he started drinking and pushing her around when he was drunk. I am trying to convince her to get a restraining order before something bad happens. She is holding back because she doesnt think the police will give her one being that he lives 100 feet away.

What do you consider to be the most underrated travel destinations that you've ever visited -- the ones that most exceeded your prior expectations? And why? When did you go there and what did you do?
