well try to keep the husky and the cat out of sight. and try to help you cat recover from the accident. make sure that you are there for the cat. and try to run home when you have your lunch break. don't feed your cat too much junk. then the sickness will get worser and woser. maybe if you treat the cat more like a human being then it will feel better. and know that you are always there for it. i hope i can help!

My brothers husky kiled my ten yr old persian a couple years back, I was traumatized. I got a new kitten, and he attacked that one too, he lived though. Funny thing was, he lived with cats before. Husky's are really great dogs, smart and friendly, but they don't like cats. They are very hard to train not to play with them. Either get rid of the dog or the cat, if you care abuot the cat, because the second the cat and dog are together without anyone there, the kitten will be dead. And I'm not joking around here. *added* the dog lived with my persian for over a year and still killed her when he got the chance

Take the kitten to the vet -Now!

Get training (positive non harming) for the husky. Or decide which one you want to keep living with you and get a good home for the other

Decide which one you are willing to separe with. The dog will do it again no atter what the cat's age. You may think all is fine and someday come home to a cat that is ripped to pieces, then who will be to blame? Find a home for one of your animals, that dog cannot be around another animal because it will do it again. make it quick too. Hope you get the kitty checked out by vet before you do anything.

Wait a few hours and the Kitten should come back out the other end of the Husky.

Your dog is probably high prey drive. It does not hate your kitten or anything like that. But they cannot be alone together anymore, not for a long time.

If your kitten is hurt a trip to the emergency vet might be worth it.

This is a hard problem, good luck.

Uh, go to the vet?

Why, oh why, don't we need special tests before we get animals...

ADDED: The kitten's hind legs are PARALYZED and you're still sitting her TYPING???? Call the freakin' vet back and get a referral to a vet who IS open for emergencies. You're letting that poor cat suffer while you ask INTERNET SURFERS???? Lord help that poor kitten.

Keep them seperate and train the Husky.

Also, if the Husky seems to about to go after the cat agian, distract it (don't correct or reward) and if it does go after the cat, give it a stern and forceful NO!

If you crate trained the dog, then would be an excellent time to crate it.

See that your kitten is ok from the attack. Then make sure it's always well & safe.

Train your husky to know that is an unwanted behavior.

SEPARATE them.

Take the kitten to the vet.

their respective sizes are such that the husky can't help but see the kitten as prey.
