Would you sacrifice life and limb to protect your family? Would you sacrifice yourself to assist a stranger? Do you devote yourself wholeheartedly to one women and hold her life and your childrens lives above your own? Do you respect the traditions and values of the people you come in contact with? Would you do anything to assist the country you live and work in? These are questions I ask myself everyday. If I can't say yes to all of these at all times I don't consider myself honorable. What do you do that makes you honorable?

Muslims will quote Quran 2:79 as a verse where the Koran says the canon of the Bible is corrupted, "Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: "This is from God," to traffic with it for miserable price!" My question is: If this verse refers to the corruption of the Bible, then why did Muhammad command Christians to follow the Bible they possessed in 600 AD in Quran 2:89; 7:157? And is this the only verse in the Koran that says the Bible is corrupt? (see also Quran 2:40-42,126,136,285; 3:3,71,93; 4:47,136; 5:47-51, 69,71-72; 6:91; 10:37,94; 21:7; 29:45,46; 35:31; 46:11)

I'm thinking about joining the Marines and one of the areas that I am least familiar with is Recon. What exactly is it? I know that it's kinda like scouting out the area but i've also heard of Force RECON which I am clueless about. I know the swimming requirements are more extreme (the recruiter I went to said that there are several different stages of the swimming test that you have to pass. Examples he said were picking up a weight at the bottom of a deep pool then bringing it up and swimming with it on your chest) A great uncle of mine was Recon in Vietnam but i've only met him a few times and didn't think to bring up Vietnam with him. So anyways what does RECON do?

there was a series of books about a jewish family, 5 or 6 sisters and there baby brother. I read them in grade school (1970's) and wanted to get them for my libary. I don't know if the titles were "the stepping stone sisters" but thats what comes to mind.

We all love the smile of a child, right ? Yes we do!

We (my girlfriend and me) know a little girl, she's 10 years old and lives 12,000 miles away from us.
She just joined Yahoo!Answers, to answer a question we asked on here about us moving to the United States. She wants us to move to her state, to have us closer. Well, actually we promissed her a rabbit, and she just wants her rabbit :)

Anyway, i thought it would be nice to give the kid a smile when she wakes up tomorrow. I wanted to ask you all to click on my question linked below, and give her a "thumbs up" on her best answer. She'd wake up with a 100 extra points and a giant smile.

How far should a 12 year old boy run per day? I was thinking like 3-5 miles. He wants to lose 15 pounds in about 2 weeks and keep it off. We don't want to buy anything or go to Subway or anything. No pills. The quicker he gets it off, the better. Yes, the kid is a bit chubby. He could lose the 15. He wants to get it off before school starts. Thanks!
