Is there anything that sounds as ignorant as "lol", "ppl", "rly", "ur", and other idiocies? What is wrong with those people who actually say "lol" when they're speaking? Do they know they sound like idiots? Is this where the english language is going?

We are in the house a lot...I am at the point of spanking them both because no one owns up to going to these sites...I down loaded a parental filter,but these sites keep coming up...one day lase week, I tried to go through and filter all the words and sites I thought would get through...but I have found more on the computer...what makes this tough is this is a home school computer that goes in for a yearly overhaul...what can I do?

If Mohammad Jones blows up at the fruit stand, should we should track down his mother, children, brothers and sister. and execute them all. Would they blow themselves up if their family would die if they did this dastardly act? These folks are nuts. The only way to maintain order with them is through fear. Just like Saddam did. If Saddam was any different he would have been killed quick. He knew how to control these freaks, but western society says he was cruel. Look at his citizens.

Have any of you monitored what your children do in chat rooms? I was on one the other day, just watching because my 13 year old son has been complaining that I don't let him in chatrooms like "All the other kids" so I told him I'd check one out and get back to him.

While I was there a 42 year old man, who was stupid enough to keep his age in his profile, was asking a 12 year old little girl some really inappropriate questions.

I know this is more of a statement than a question but I want to let you all know that you really need to watch them when they're in chatrooms. Just because it says teen chatrooms doesn't mean just teenagers go there.

My friend went out with this guy about 2years ago so they are done with each other she has had another boyfriend since then...

but now she is talking to a guy that i had a serious crush on and she knew about it and she was the one that told me that he wasn't interested so i stopped liking him...but i find out that he never knew that i liked him

just becuz she lied to me about my crush doesnt mean that i want to get back at her by talking to her ex...its just that i see him a lot and everytime that i see him we converse with one another and i feel sumthin just by the way he looks at with his big brown hazy eyes

so is it so wrong for me to start talking to an ex-bf of hers?

First, I would like to say that I am an atheist. I don't believe there is a god and here is my beliefs on WHY people think there's a god. (I'm only 13 so I don't know if everything will be true)

I believe in the big bang and evolution theories and I think there's substantial proof in these theories.

In the ancient times, if people didn't know something, they'd make something up like mermaids (really sea otters ) and the earth being flat. So religion was born, it explains where we came from, and where we go. People don't like the unexplained so they use religion as a way of explaining things and also people are afraid of death so they believe in a religion. They use religion and heaven (or whatever their beliefs are) as an ultimate goal.

Now if there IS a god, do you think (directed at Christens) he would want us to follow ever word of the bible. The bible tells us a way of living, not exactly how to live it. I would think if there was a God, he would accept any good people.

Could it be "BECAUSE" the rag tag insurgents are hurting the USA military everyday? Think about this- if the Civil War in the U.S. was won by the confederates, it's very possible that slavery would still be acceptable today. However, that is not the case, and we know better. If the Nazis managed to take over the world, and you and I were born Aryian, we would see no problem with burning minorities who were unlike us. Other things to think about, Prohibition? Was repealing that a good or bad decision? Is who/whatever decides is socially acceptable really something we can trust to set our morals and standards?
