Well, the good news is that some porn sites continue to find their way onto a computer even after someone has quit looking at the material. That means that someone is not [necessarily] still actively looking at it. They could be, however. It's a pretty normal impulse for young boys, don't be too worried. You can get really good software for filtering if you are worried. You have to do what you have to do. Good luck.

The only thing I can tell you to do is to not let them use the computer, and lock it down with an owner password that they don't know. I am finding that the filters don't work on alot of stuff because searches can be worded differently to look like a normal search... I have a son right now that is grounded from our computer for looking up something as well that he shouldn't have... I hope you find your answer.. if you find the magic key, please pass it along. I need to know the tricks too.... I have 2 other boys as well... good luck... I feel your pain...

Someone probably went to a naughty site and got some kind of trojan horse or other bug. Type webroot spysweeper into a search engine. This is the best system cleaner I've found. Evan if no one visits anymore off limit sites, you will keep getting pop ups and redirected to other sites until the system has been cleaned. Good luck.

you have to get a prgram called
(websense) this program is used alot of schoold and big corporations and it works very well. its very proytective and the only way you can get through to the site is if you know the password. you can block any words/sites and so on. you cannot buy the software program at a store.
www.websense.com
it hides into the computer where no one can located it, its a hidden file. you can also install it to one computer and make it run on all the ones connected to the server.
hope that helps.

Try finding a more rigerous filter, your school might help.
Short of that your only option might be to supervise their activity which means restricting their net access to one or two hours and watching where they go and what they do.
It's your house, a school computer and you have every right to do that. When they get their own connection, and htey pay for it and their own pc they can do what they want but until then - lay down da law!
If they continue, ground the both of them. ^__^ g'luck!

although there is a good possibility that "teen boys" ARE going onto these sites, I wouldn't be too quick to blame them. Pop ups and virus' can bring up all sorts of sites, and that includes porn sites. It's possible even with a nanny.

They are just curious boys. If you find a way to stop them, they will still find a way to see it. Just let them be. By the way, I am a teen girl... So, I think that says something.
