Is "addiction" to sex, computers, shopping, gambling, food, and the never ending list......NOT physically addictive as in the case of drugs or alcohol,

Thomas Paine was the ultimate Founding Father! Wooo, Tom Paine ROCKS!

Did you know he:

-produced the original draft for the Declaration of Independence?

-was militantly anti-slavery, and included a clause in the draft for the DofI that would abolish slavery, but it was omitted because Thomas Jefferson owned hundreds of slaves?

-wrote pamphlets that were read by a percentage of the population back then that is greater than the percentage of people that watch the Superbowl today?


To think that someone so important is left out of so many "founding father" lists is ridiculous! You've got Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Monroe, etc. etc. etc...but no Tom Paine! Blasphemy!

It's just because he wrote the brilliant "The Age of Reason" and denounced Christianity that he died poor and hated by the ignorant. Theodore Roosevelt called him a "filthy little atheist", which is about as ignorant as you can get. Thomas Paine was not an atheist nor a Christian, but a Deist.

The first day of my last time of month was May 26th (that means I am very late!!). I took a couple HPT's 3 days before my missed period and they came back negative. Being that my gyno is on vacation, I went to a clinic and got a blood test. The technician took my blood and 15 minutes later she came back and said I was not pregnant. I have yet to see my period and I am now 2 weeks late. I never missed a period. Can the results of a blood test be determined after only 15 minutes ? should I wait and get another blood test done by my primary care physician? I really would like to know for sure if i am or not so that I can make sure I am doing the best thing for my body. What should I do??

With all the drama and love and happy happy moments, anybody else here thinks the new Superman movie was written and made for girls (or very sentimental guys)? Personally, i find it lacked of action and had way too many drama scenes, pretty much like the King Kong movie.

C is asked if he knows the color of his hat and, after thinking for a few moments, answers that he doesn't know. Then the same question is asked of B who, after thinking for a few moments also answers that he doesn't know. Finally, A is asked the same question and, after thinking for a few moments, answers correctly. Now, the question is: What is A's cap color and how did he know?
