U mean like Kid Rock?
I always felt Beck's Loser was a little Country with his crazy rap bit was pretty cool so yes it can work. Hip Hop has evolved a lot since the early days if you have listened to it over the years, new styles come all the time, anything is possible in Hip Hop.

Yeah it has been done before and it was successful. Nelly and Tim McGraw had done this last summer and i believe it went in at number 1 in the UK charts or at least in the top 5.
It sounded crazy when i first heard of it last year but we may see more it nowadays!

Country combined with Rap could be called "CRap".
But your idea might already be taken. Check out Cowboy Troy. He prefers to call it "Hick Hop". Seriously.

its already happened so stick with modern times! and it can be good! Nelly and Tim McGraw did an extremely good job!! Cowboy Troy can just stick it up his backside! He sucks at singing whether it be country or rap! And he is annoying!! Go for it if you wanna try it but you need to be able to pull it off

Beck and Nizlopi have sort of done that already. As have Morcheeba. I think it would work well and would sound funky.
