is it required where you live?
is it practiced?
is it truly "60 seconds?"

It's a requirement where I live, and it's also a joke. During the 12 years I've been teaching, I've have observed that no more than about 10 seconds is used for this, and, for the most part, it's wasted.

My father died and I had to place my mother in a home because I cannot physically care for her due to my health. I was left with all these animals and I must move. I cannot afford all of them. Only one belongs to me, but I've been caring for them and love them all! I find getting homes for them has been hard and emotionally painful, but I don't believe you should keep an animal if you cannot afford to take them to a vet when they're sick.

The oldest dog is in pain with her hip. My aunt told me to have her put to sleep. I haven't been able to find a home for her and where I may move will be cold. I haven't the heart to put her to sleep but I'm in a position where I cannot keep her because I haven't even figured out where I’m going to stay.

If you don't like animals, Please do not answer this.
