My father died and I had to place my mother in a home because I cannot physically care for her due to my health. I was left with all these animals and I must move. I cannot afford all of them. Only one belongs to me, but I've been caring for them and love them all! I find getting homes for them has been hard and emotionally painful, but I don't believe you should keep an animal if you cannot afford to take them to a vet when they're sick.

The oldest dog is in pain with her hip. My aunt told me to have her put to sleep. I haven't been able to find a home for her and where I may move will be cold. I haven't the heart to put her to sleep but I'm in a position where I cannot keep her because I haven't even figured out where I’m going to stay.

If you don't like animals, Please do not answer this.

Sandy hurts at times, but she isn't in constant pain, otherwise it would not have been a difficult decision.

I'm really sorry. You have to think of the pets. If you can't care for them, you should give them to someone who can love and care for them better than you or in a way you can't. If your dog is suffering, she would be happier if you put her to sleep. She will only get worse. It is a hard truth to face, I know, but there's nothing you can do about it. I recently had to put my cat to sleep and it was so hard, because he was young, and I still miss him and feel guilty about it like it happened yesterday, but he was suffering and wasn't happy. I have faith that he's in a better place now. You should do what you know in your heart is best for you, and for the animals. Good luck.

Sometimes finding the right homes takes time. I'm wondering how many animals there are and when you'll have to move...in other words, how much time you have. If you have a health problem and have been left in dire circumstances, perhaps a vet in your area (or the area that you move to) would agree to give you a substantial discount. Check with relatives and family friends and see if any of them would be willing to take in some of the animals. Call rescues in your area and see if they'd be willing to help out. I know that a lot of rescues here will let owners list their dogs on their websites so that they get exposure. You also might want to contact local vet offices and go down and put up fliers. This is an awful situation you're in and my heart goes out to you. I do know one thing and that's when you're going through a lot and you're overwhelmed, you sometimes need time to just let things be and look at them later when you're calmer - things have a way of not looking so bleak then.

If an animal is in pain then be fair to that animal and have him put to sleep, hard as it is care more about the animal than yourself

my suggestion to you is to take the pets to your local SPCA or other adoption like center. most of the dogs that go there will never make it to being put down... the staff there will be better able to accommodate finding them homes and actually very good at doing so... that is the best choice in my opinion i know that is where i have gotten all my dogs from..... good luck

i can totally understand how u must be feeling about this situation.I love animals and I'm very attached to my pets.Even the mere thought of living without them, kills me.But if such a situation arises where you are right now.I would be happy to let go my pets for their betterment. If you can't afford them, its better to give them to someone who can so that they don't starve to death. And secondly you should be strong enough to let them go because otherwise it would be miserable to see them dieing in front of you and because of you.And if you don't have any to give them to you should advertise it.You might find someone to own them.Or try giving them to some shopkeeper who sells pets.I hope i have helped enough.Good luck and don't feel sad ...be strong.

I'm sorry about your situation.

If you really love the dog, think about what's best for him. If you think he's in pain constantly, then putting him to sleep is the best thing for him. I know it's hard for you, but it's selfish to keep him alive because you'll miss him, if he's suffering each day he's here.
