My computer was fine till about a week back. I am running Windows XP SP2, Norton Anitvirus, am connected using 128 Kbps always on connection to internet. I also have azureus installed. My computer has 512 MB RAM and a 1 GB swap file. When I start my computer , after I log on, the disk activity goes on for a long time and then I get the low virtual memory message. This happens even in 'Safe mode'.
After this happens, I cant run any programs, and I cant even start task manager to see whats going on. I cant even shutdown, though I can see the desktop. Is it a virus/worm or is it a swap file problem. I dont understand why this should start happening one fine day. I am unable to change any settings , because this happens while the startup is happening. Please Help.

I have these 1-2 inch long, light green worms that blend in perfectly with my tomato plant leaves, and they are destroying my plants, chewing them to shreds. The few I've caught have tiny "hooks" on their end that makes me think they're baby tomato worms. Anyone know of an "organic" way to get rid of them? They're nearly impossible to see, and I don't want to start spraying my plants with chemicals or pesticides? Any ideas, or know of any critters that will eat them?

Can someone tell me the name of that TV movie that was on either on CBS, ABC, or NBC that aired a few times between the summer and fall of 2005. It was about oil prices getting so high no one could afford it, it was kind of a worst case scenario for oil prices. Some of the details I remember is that there was a kid who was filming everything to send to his brother who was stationed in saudi arabia at an oil plant that got hit by an RPG. Any way I think it was called something like "Oil Crisis" or "Oil..." Please help this has been driving me crazy for days.

People have mentioned that I've been blunt before and I changed that out of respect for others. Of course there are people I can't help but get smart with. I'm conflicted with this issue because I came from a culture in which it's the norm to be blunt but in America it's not that way. Americans are sensitive it seems. Do people find you blunt or rude? Do you want to change that or does it work for you?

When I turn on my computer the ligth turns on along with the fan and cd drives but it doesnt beep. I took the hard drive out and placed it in another machine and it works fine.

Does anyone know what this might be?? I thought it was the hard drive but this isnt the case

I heard a couple awful ones this week. This lady where I work is naming her first child Aimsley for a girl or a boy (she doesn't know the sex yet). There is also a woman who just had a baby boy and named him Keegan, and her other son is named Remington. The U.S. is getting stranger by the day on baby names. Poor kids.
