Only men were permitted to have multiple spouses. Only the man could initiate a divorce. Only men were allowed to establish a covenant with God through circumcision. If a newly-wed wife were found to be unchasted she could be divorced, I found no mention of an unchasted husband suffering the same fate. Women were only allowed in the Court of Women and no farther into the Tabernacle of God. Why the disparity? Why the contempt? Do you know of a book that explains this reasoning. I am a Christian and I know that things are different now that Christ has come and abolished the Law. But, I can't help but feel devalued when I read the Old Testament. PS: God-heaters and man-heaters need not reply; I am looking for real answers.

McKinney's case was dropped two months after she assualted a Capital Police officer. She originally claimed her only crime 'was being a black woman' and claimed discimination. Do you agree that she got off even though she took back the discrimination claim? I believe she should of been charged and punished for assualting a police officer just like anyone else but she got special treatment because she is black.

i have been offered a free dodge colt (1990 runs good, good body) and a free toyota corolla (1982 dont know if it runs, bad body) and i cant decide which one to take. i debate because i've heard that corolla's get great gas milage and i really want good gas milage because of prices.

At the time, I was a poor student of 28, really lonely. I had a history of short relationships. I found a stable family environment with him (divorced living w one son, who is now 19). His hope was that I would get a great job and we would have money someday. He's a poor immigrant, w/ many friends and family. I am a loner. I asked him to move to another state with me because he had all my stuff, and I didnt have the money or heart to make the break. I see now I was wrong, but we lived together for 4 years in the new state, with his son. More arguments though, and no sex. He is really counting on me to help him out when he is old (he's now 50) as he helped me when I was younger. Now 40, I am living apart from him in another state now for the last 2 years, but he still is planning for our living out our lives together later on. I date other people but have hard time keeping relationships, partly out of guilt. I want someone new, but I fear being alone. Help!
