Honestly? I've heard a lot of experts and players say....and i personally believe this too...that the US will never win it....or at least not for a very long time...if they ever won it many of the other countries would think that they bought their way to victory...besides that American soccer players aren't that good because they arent bred with the heart of a true futbalista...the only way US could probably win is if they gave a bunch of really really good players US citizenship and then convinced them somehow to play for the US team...but even then I can't honestly see a solid player from somewhere else play for them rather than their own country.
