i have been offered a free dodge colt (1990 runs good, good body) and a free toyota corolla (1982 dont know if it runs, bad body) and i cant decide which one to take. i debate because i've heard that corolla's get great gas milage and i really want good gas milage because of prices.

Get the Colt. It was built by Mitusbishi and imported by Dodge. It had fuel economy every bid as good as the Corolla but wasn't as reliable. On the other hand, the fact that this particular Colt is 16 years old vs. a Corolla that 24 years old might make a big difference in making the reliabiity between the 2 more equal. You already know the Colt is in good shape and the Corolla may be a few hundred miles away from being a pile of scrap.
So again I say: get the Colt.

well yes toyotas do get good milage but seeings it 8 years older parts for it will cost more in the long run, so id say go with the 1990 colt

The Dodge because it is running. But take it to a mechanic or to a friend who can repair cars before taking it on the road. Even if we admit that most Toyotas are good cars, it is an 24 year old car, so you can expect REAL problems.

i go for the 90 and is simple at that time both cars has good gas milage, and second u dont want to keep fixing ur car every week u know what i mean, i could result more expensive than buying one lol .

Both are fine on gas. the Dodge is newer and u know that it runs and works fine. Hell its a free car so dont be arguing.

the dodge colt if it runs and looks good take it
colt are good on gas too
toyota's are good to but if it doesn't run then i would choose the one that does

i'd say the dodge, just because you know it runs and has a good body.....if the toyota doesnt even run, you shouldnt worry about gas...
