I could humorously say a race track after a triple crown race (like the Preakness), but more seriously slums of any city are ugly. I am more curious about countries. I lived in Okinawa in early 70s and they had open sewers. Stinky and ugly. 57 miles wide and 12 miles long of coral... I suppose it could have changed, but...

I want to work in USA for a while...but i can't find a job since last year. So i have an idea to take a tourist visa and then change it...maybe to go to some school and get the visa J1 or to find some job and get the visa H1B. But i know in embassy will ask me - if i have any plans to stay in USA...And if i really do, and will not tell them and then will stay there for real - can they put me in jail for that or cick me out from country when the tourist visa will finish? Coz if i said i don't want to stay there but i will - it's a double aims...Can they punish me for that? I don't want be there illegal - yr advise - guys

Why in the world is it still on? It can't have that big of a following. From day one, my kids have called it "yucky" and make me change the channel. I agree with them. That show is creepy - makes my skin crawl.

Youre walking along just outside of a town centre with a few mates and you see a really drunk guy on the floor. Your completely sober. The guy looks about 18 and looks a bit dodgy but he is sprawled face down on the floor so he aint gonna do much harm. You ask your mates to help you get him up and they say no. The drunk guy says he wants to go to the train station but you know theres no way he's gonna even get onto a train. He also says to definately not ring an ambulance. Your mates say to leave him because its not your problem but this is a dodgy area at night and he is at least gonna get robbed.

Would you:

- Try to help him as much as you can to get home safely by using his phone to ring his family and friends.
or
- Leave him because his condition is his own fault and its not your problem and walk away
or
- Ring an ambulance for him and walk away

I have heard that a woman who times her ovulation and plans her pregnancy has a 20% chance of conception. I have also heard her chances are greatly increased by having an orgasm. I have had many people point out that an orgasm isn't necessary but helps. I am wondering how it helps and how much a woman's chances increase.

What is the psychological basis of the screaming commercial? I assume that the Oxyclean type of TV ad must have been well thought out by agency advertisng psychologists to deserve the ongoing ads.

If there are any published papers in the psychological or psychiatric literature on the effects of and the responses to screaming, I would appreciate the journal reference.

I realize that screaming does get one's initial attention,but why would one continue to listen to the blatant rudeness and what is the sales rational?

IT'S LIKE AN E-MAIL ALL IN CAPS - BOLD - UNDERLINED which is considered rude and immediately prompts the delete button....without reading the message! It gets a moment of negative attention prior to the deletion
