The best is alienware.Best processors in order
1)amd athlon
2)Intel
3)celeron
Alienware water cool their components. They are built for gaming and high speed applications.
If you can't afford that then get a dell with an intel, make sure it has at least a gig of DDR RAM and the radeon pro video card, not that extreme graphics crap(intel)
OK?
If you asked how to build one, I would tell you. I built my own. But your Q was best computer on market. Sure, alienware is pricey, but IT IS THE BEST marketed computer available.

The best bang for your buck would be a home-built one. It's a lot easier to do than you'd think, and you can build a pretty nice one with all the crap the $1,000 ones at the retailers have for less than $500. Go to one of these websites, and buy the cheapest barebones PC you can get, a gig of PC 3200 RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and a 17" LCD. Order all that crap, when it gets to you, plug it all together (trust me, it's easier than you think and just by looking at the pieces you can figure out where they go), and enjoy. AND LOOK AT MY NOSE!!!!!

i would disagree with the other person alienware just has fancy cases and are overpriced.
best chipset is hard to say i would suggest if your going for P4
SiS 645DX, and the best computer to buy is a machine u build yourself. or if u goto something like ebay and look under computer and highest price.
check out the specs on that.
