Get off this diet now!
Stay off the couch, eat a bit less of everything that you love and you will lose the weight you want.
Yes you will have to do some exercise! Instead of having cookies and cake for dessert you will have to choose to have fresh fruit. Save the goodies for special occasions.
Sorry, there is no magic pill or special diet that will lead to permanent weight loss. Sensible eating and exercise is the answer.

i've tried it but didn't work for me -- meaning, i wasn't happy with it. i tried the atkins diet -- i ate a lot of meat, and some vegetables. after like 3 days i noticed my stomach was getting smaller (really quick) but later on i realized i cannot give up carbs completely. my blood sugar was dipping so i had headaches, and whenever my blood sugar goes down -- i get this feeling of "unquenchable thirst" -- it's like your brain is thirsty, no matter how much you drink, it feels like it's dry. i don't know -- maybe it's all in the mind. but usually, this type of diet (giving up carbs) is not usually effective. what i try to do now is i eat foods high in fiber. i feel fuller longer -- without eating too much calories.
also an effective way to stay on the diet, i made a list of things that will motivate me -- like i want to be able to wear any clothes i want etc. and i told myself that i will eat healthily, but i can indulge whenever there is a party -- i can eat anything. then i'll just go back to the plan again the next day.
it's like working for your salary -- once in a while, you can splurge on something you really like -- and then just go back to work for more again.

Yes I have.
My wife put me on this diet, giving me only one carbo meal (dinner) a day. My breakfast is oak meal (yes carbo too), and lunch is lean meat with vegi.
I exercise about 4 times a week, about 1 hour each time. 20 minute is cardio, and other time is weight.
My result? 1 kg per week. I drop till 77 from 86, and now, after 6 months away from exercise, back to 84kg. I am back to my exercise regime.
Wish me well.

Watch out for the caffeine headaches!!! I would keep an hand a diet soda with caffeine in it. I had no idea I would go through caffeine with drawls because I don't drink coffee and thought I wasn't consuming very much caffeine. So you will do great!!!!!!!!
