What is the easiest way to change from being a night owl to being a day person? I was born at 3:06 AM and I have always loved working the 3rd shift. Right now I am not working but I will stay up till now or later and want to sleep till 11 AM. I would love to wake up at 6 AM and feel refreshed, but I just can't seem to do that. I thought about staying up all night too, but then I will just get really tired around 2 in the afternoon and want to take a nap!

Are we night owls doomed to being night owls for life?

It is possible to set up a laboratory device that will vibrate a container which has a mix of sand, pepple, and gravel, with control over the amplitude of the vibration. As the container is vibrated continuously, if the amplitude is large, the mix will tend to become uniform. Yet if the amplitude is made small, the mix will tend to sort out, with the gravel migrating towards the top while the sand filters towards the bottom. By varying the amplitude, even as the vibration is nonstop, the mix can be sorted or blended. How is this explained in terms of entropy which is supposed to be always rising as per 2nd Law of Thermodynamics?

I have recently started my second novel and im so engrossed in it i have not slept for almost three days, it is 7.18 in the morning here and have just noticed the answer phone messages from my family wishing me a happy new year! i'm 14 and i'm an athiest and i'm just curious as to how many people out there share my beliefs (or lack thereof) i know there's alot. also, would you consider my generation to be somewhat athiest heavy? it's strange. i live in ohio and i know quite a few people at my school that are athiest. it just seems that there are a whole lot of athiest youths today compared to 50 years ago. why do you think this is? thanks for your answers in advance. i'm very interested to see what you all think.

I know this is not the best place to get advice from others.. Some people on here can be down right cruel.

But here goes anyway.

From my past posts you know that my daughter has turned 18 this month.

After having bought my daughter a car. She has to plate, tag, and insurance it before she can drive. She also has to finish getting her lisense.

I have recently told her since she is not 18 and running around telling people that "I'm an adult, you can't tell me what to do anymore".. YEAH RIGHT!!.

I am limiting what I will do for her. I will NO longer drive her back and forth to her friends house. She gets there and back on her own. Until she gets her car legal I WILL drive her back and forth to work.

I will NO LONGER buy her any more food.. She does NOT pay rent or any utilities for the house, so all that is left is her cell phone and food and what nots for the baby. Her baby. He is 2.

I live in Los Angeles and have a small area in the corner of my yard that needs some love. It has a LARGE bouganvilla (sp?) already and will be covered in mulch shortly...in the meantime, I'd like to plant some stuff there to spruce it up. It's generally in the mid to low 40's at night right now. This space faces the East, so gets Sun most of the morning/day....no irrigation but I can hand water. HELP!
