I live in Los Angeles and have a small area in the corner of my yard that needs some love. It has a LARGE bouganvilla (sp?) already and will be covered in mulch shortly...in the meantime, I'd like to plant some stuff there to spruce it up. It's generally in the mid to low 40's at night right now. This space faces the East, so gets Sun most of the morning/day....no irrigation but I can hand water. HELP!

Just remember that bougainvillas don't like a lot of water and bloom best when on the verge of just too dry.

If the bouganvilla doesn't like lots of water then you might consider succulents-hen & chicks, jade plant, etc. http://www.gosucculent.com/frontpage_index.html http://www.succulent-plant.com/
