We will be travelling to WDW in 2008, and I read about the Pal Mickey, it tells you about the attractions and where characters are. We will be travelling with two children ages 8 and 10, I am worried that my eight year daughter will want to bolt out of every line to go and see the different characters (ie "I hear that Belle is in France")
What have your experiences been?
I also see them listed on EBay, should I purchase one or wait till we get there? What is the cost new, and how often would more updated versions be available?

We are going to Disney World on November the 5th through the 11th. We would like to stay at Disney and possibly in a Deluxe resort. We want to be able to eat three meals but not spend too much money. We are also flying from Pensacola to Orlando either early morning on the 5th or the evening of the 4th. We want this to be the best honeymoon possible but we don't want to pay too much for this and sacrifice our payments on the wedding, a house, and our student loans. Any help would be appreciated!!

Hey! I'm looking at grad schools and houses in Florida and I would like to visit Florida to check out the schools/houses in the areas of Orlando and Lakeland. I was wondering when the best time of the year is to get cheap flights to Florida. I know my parents often get flights for 70-80$$. Help! Thanks!

Also, what do you think of the tower room facing the Magic Kingdom park if you have stayed at the Contemporary Resort?

2007-03-05 06:07:34 · 7 answers · asked by olson_m80 2

I want this to be our family vacation of a lifetime, so we are staying at the Contemporary. "We", are my wife & I, a 7yr. old, and a 15yr. old. Anybody have any secrets to help make this more enjoyable & smooth? I've heard about the character meals & stuff, but which one(s) do you pick? I heard you might get free upgrades on tickets after registering, so I booked it with the base package, in hopes of that. Anyway of making sure I can get these? I already asked, and they said no, not right now, like they may have some in the future. How long should I wait before upgrading to the park hopper? Has anyone ever been given a free dining upgrade? How about the best place to get a guide, to try and "map out" our days before we get there? Anybody know the best website to get answers? There seems to be so many, which ones' are the best?
Alot of questions, sorry, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kelvin

I am planning on surprising my boyfriend for his birthday with a trip to Disney World. We both have been wanting to go there and I saved enough money to go. I was hoping to go the end of April. Does anyone have suggestions for hotels that are not part of the Disney Resorts? I am not looking for the cheapest, but something that is worth its money is not too crazy of a price. If you have stayed in the Disney area and had a good experience at a hotel please help me out.

Me and my fiance are going to orlando for a vacation for 8 days but we want to go to a few places that my 1 year old wouldnt be able to go. I dont trust childcare down there so my mom is going to keep him the first half of the trip and then we are going to meet her halfway and get him for the last half of the trip. Anyone know where exactly halfway would be?

Okay, cos my last question was apparently too much of an essay!

Can anyone please tell me if Magic Kingdom / MGM in Orlando is still worth going to? I have had conflicting reports, some people say it is still great, others say dont waste your money! Anyone been recently?

Im going to Orlando in April with my fiance, his parents & his 2 kids who are 10 and 8. I have been twice before but not for 10 years. My in-laws have been 10 times but not for 2 years. My fiance & kids have never been. As this is the kids first holiday abroad, we wanted to make it special & we have booked Discovery Cove for us & the kids to swim with the dolphins. This comes with a 7 day pass to Sea World for all of 4 of us. We have also booked a 5 day multi pass for the 4 of us for Universal Studios,Island of Adventure & Wet N Wild. My questions is, does anyone think it is still worth going to Magic Kingdom and MGM? I went there the last time and thought it was great although geared more for young kids. Animal Kingdom was not there when I went so am not sure if this is any good. The tickets are pretty expensive for the Disney parks and I have read loads of write ups that Magic Kingdom/MGM arent worth going to anymore. Has anyone been there recently? Any advice you can give please?

Not looking for Pleasure Island or any of the Countries in the World Showcase. Just a good spot to get a real drink that is not too crowded.
