Hi, we stayed at The Holiday Inn Nikki Bird on the 192, the hotel was fab it wasn't to busy, we were originally in a normal room but they took pity on us and moved us into a room with a kids suite, which my two boys loved. I have to say that we have stayed on International Drive and LBV, but think that Kissimmee is the best because as you say it is easy for the parks etc.. having said that when we stayed at LBV there is more of the Disney spirit, maybe that is because it is on Disney property...I would defiantly stay in Kissimmee again though

Yes I have , but I am assuming that you are going to Disney. I have a better place to stay. If you go to Lake Buena vista, there is a comfort inn, that has rooms usually for $75 or less a night, it is actually closer to Disney than Kissimmee, and has a free shuttle to Disney. Phone # is 800-999-7300, address is 8442 Palm Parkway Lake Buena Vista Fl, 32836. It is just off of I-4, and is easy to find. There are plenty of places to eat, etc. close, and is less busy than Kissimmee. I have stayed there on 2 occasions, and it has been great both times. I hope that this helps.

We stayed there for two nights on our way home from Orlando in 2005. We stayed in this hotel that had a big pineapple on the side of it. I cannot recall what the name of it was. I have to be honest with you. It was a hole. We had just come from a five-star resort in Orlando so maybe that tainted our experience. Now, if you want to stay somewhere really cool, check out Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa on Turkey Lake Road. That is where we are heading for three weeks in April/May. It's pricey but worth it if you plan on staying on site. If you plan on being out and about most of the time then perhaps this level of accommodations is not required. There are SO MANY places to choose from in that area. It should not be hard to find something that suits your budget and your needs all at the same time. Check out the Orlando City website. They have great links to accommodations of all sorts. Have fun!

I live here and have never been impressed with the 192 area of Kissimmee. I think that Lk Buena Vista has more to offer at reasonable rates.

man i hated Kissimee...I was there this past October and there were millions and millions of LOVE BUGS!!
coming from a guy who really doesn't mind bugs....I don't know how those people put up with it! I mean you ask the locals and they just shrug it off "oh they are just love bugs they wont bite"
No they dont bite but from my hotel door to the car (about 50 feet) I'd have like 9 of them attached to me...you CANNOT go outside....wow I think I'd rather live in North Dakota!
