Im going to Orlando in April with my fiance, his parents & his 2 kids who are 10 and 8. I have been twice before but not for 10 years. My in-laws have been 10 times but not for 2 years. My fiance & kids have never been. As this is the kids first holiday abroad, we wanted to make it special & we have booked Discovery Cove for us & the kids to swim with the dolphins. This comes with a 7 day pass to Sea World for all of 4 of us. We have also booked a 5 day multi pass for the 4 of us for Universal Studios,Island of Adventure & Wet N Wild. My questions is, does anyone think it is still worth going to Magic Kingdom and MGM? I went there the last time and thought it was great although geared more for young kids. Animal Kingdom was not there when I went so am not sure if this is any good. The tickets are pretty expensive for the Disney parks and I have read loads of write ups that Magic Kingdom/MGM arent worth going to anymore. Has anyone been there recently? Any advice you can give please?

I answered your other question. See what i said there, but in a nutshell, YES, go to Disney, especially if your kids have never been there. Universal is cool, don't get me wrong, but my kids always choose Disney over Universal (mine are 11 and 7). Universal gets old, since it is mostly thrill rides. I can do that at home.

Sorry Boohoo and Natterjac, I have to disagree. The 10 year old will definitely like Universal better. Jaws, Back to the Future and E.T rides were great. I hear they have some new ones too. Disney is great for the 8 year old. Oh what the heck - Do both!!!!
But keep it fun.

I think that everyone will enjoy any of the Disney Parks. So, in my opinion, yes, go to Disney.

There are some wonderful shows and rides at each park.

Seems like you have a great trip planned.Have a wonderful vacation!

If you go to Orlando--YOU HAVE TO GO TO DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think unversal is an overgrown state fair!

Disney is an experience that will last them a lifetime.

Magic Kingdom, Epcot and MGM are the best (in order).
