I was curious to know what you guys would think Orlando, Florida would look like if Walt Disney never decided to build Disney World there. What was Orlando like prior to DIsney World and how much of an impact do you believe it has had on the rest of the city. Would it look anything similar if Disney World was never created?

It has been closed for at least 2 years and it seems like such a waste. It is next to Mission to space.

I finally got the chance to go last year and was all excited about it. I must admit, it was a bit of a letdown. Not only was it outrageously expensive, but a lot of the attractions look like they were from the 1970's. Why don't they ever update?

It can be from Disneyland or Disney World, but I want to know what rides you think can't be missed. And maybe any good restaurant you went to or a great parade or live performance. Also, if you went on any ride that was no good, tell me.

Has anyone used Dreams Unlimited Travel b4? I found this website, Dreams Unlimited Travel, for a Disney World vacation, and the price they are offering me for our vacation package is a couple hundred less than what Disney quoted me. (Our package includes to stay at Disney Caribbean Resort, meal plan, hopper passes &more fun option, and express transportation). But I have never used this company or even heard of it. It just came up in a Disney search on the net. They do offer an itenerary for you and they offer to make your dining reservations for you also. Has anyone heard of this company, anyone used them, what was your experience.
Advice please, its a good deal but I dont want to be ripped off.
Also, we arrive on the 23rd at 11am, but our hotel says checkin is not until 4, and from what I am told everything is connected to the room key, we will be allowed to go the parks before 4pm, or is an early check in allowed? Any adivce for a 1st time trip, 2 kids - 9 & 12 years old.

My fiance and I are planning a visit to Universal Orlando Fri-Sun April 20-22. How are the crowds for anyone who has been during this time. I figured since it is after spring break it wouldn't be as bad. We are thinking of buying Express passes or VIP tour if it is horrible. Thanks for your advice :)

We are thinking about relocating to this area. We already live in Florida, but are just moving to a new area.
Can anyone give me any info about this place (it's location description - is it in the boonies, city like, etc., what's near, crime, schools, etc.)?
Thanks.

We are looking to go to Orlando with kids ages 13, 9, 8, 3, and 5 months. Is Universal Studios a good place for kids? The Disney Parks are more suited toward kids overall, right? Also is it better to rent a car and stay nearby or stay on the Disney grounds (we have done this before).

Hi, I'm 24 years old, and I'm from Argentina.
I need your help to make a decision: Which one do you think is the best place to spend my hollidays (about 7 days) alone, Disney (Orlando) or Cancún?
Where do you think I could have more fun, considering the fact that I'm going by myself since it is not holliday time in my country, and all my friends are working?...
I really don't want to stay home... Please, help me decide

We have decided to stay at the movies resort but it looks like there is alot to see at all of the value resorts and other resorts. We are driving from Oklahoma and won't be going to the park the first day.
Also I read that you can't bring wagons. Why? Do they rent them? I have a 4 year old and I know he will get tired. I guess I could use a stroller if I have to but I don't think he will be too happy about that.
