I pre-paid for a vacation package to Orlando Fl and now my friends are telling me its a company that deals in High Pressure Time Shares.

My boyfriend did the same thing he pre-paid for a vacation. I researched and all I got were bad comments about timeshare presentations if he did not go to the presentation he would have to pay for all the expenses that he paid in advanced. I also read that those discount vacation are at the end more expensive than a self-planned vacation.
We didn't take the deal, he lost that advanced payment. From what I read you don't get the money back, you can try and call them.

Been there, done that -- and it's not really so bad. You're supposed to sit through their marketing shpiels while there, but actually can bail out of some.

Well before you go, make sure to research some fun stuff to do while you're there, aside from the vacation package. Then do that stuff. It can be a relatively cheap vacation, actually. Just don't get caught up in their "deals."
