I believe there's been about 12 - 15 deaths at Walt Disney World.
This website has all the information about deaths at the different Disney Parks...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_at_Disney_parks
Besides that, I know a Cast Member fell to his death during the construction of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. His name was George. I guess if you ask current Cast Members about him they'll tell you of the hauntings. Supposedly they have to say good morning to George when the park opens and goodnight when the park closes, or else the ride won't operate properly the next day. I also read somewhere that a man once died on the Haunted Mansion when he tried to exit the "Doombuggy" and fell 15 feet, breaking his neck.
Anyway, hope some of this helps!

People most definitely die inside of the Disney parks. However, Disney would love to maintain their fantasy image, that nothing bad could happen while you're there. Given the fact that the Disney company is very involved with the media, much of what happens there actually escapes the news altogether, and what does leak out tends to be less sensationalized than many other stories. My husband works for Disney, and he has so many stories of things he's witnessed himself and things that veteran cast members have seen happen. Don't believe that bad things don't happen at Disney!

Unfortunately there have been some deaths at Disney World. I don't have the figure but it probably is very low in comparison to the MILLIONS of people that have visited Disney World. I have been there many many times, I feel very sorry for those who have experienced those tragedies. But in my opinion WDW is VERY safe.

A very good friend of my family used to be a chef at one of the restaurants in Disney. While he was working there he said there were 5 suicides. People would jump off the balconies to their death. Of course you aren't going to see any of this on national television- think of what bad media Disney would get.

Maybe 10 total.
A secret about disney is that even if someone is obviously dead, if other guests have not noticed, they will have the local ambulance come and bring the person to a nearby hospital and then they can be pronounced "dead on arrival" instead of "dead at disney"

about 2 or 3 that i know of, on the rides anyways. many other people don't take precautions, so they get sick from the heat. i know some kid died on mission space in epcot last year because he had a heart condition, and another older lady died on the same ride before that because she was sick. and then some one died on rock n' rollercoaster also last year because he had an illness.....once again. so i don't know why people do it, but if u think ur sick, don't go on these rides
