You purchase them at disney...they cost face value. Plus they have a really cute design! I find its nice to save a few for memories. Of course they are only worth anything money wise at Disney World, Downtown Disney, or any Disney Store. =)

They are exact exchange rate, 1 Disney Dollar for 1 US Dollar.
However, they become worth more as a keepsake! They are great to use as a scrapbook item and kids love them as gifts! (Although, I think I would only use a ONE dollar denomination in a scrapbook - lol)
