aproximately what times are best to do those when there are least amounts of people and traffic? i want to plan ahead.

I am planning a trip to Vegas and have narrowed my options to theses hotels
Flamingo
Luxor
New York New York
or Monte Carlo
If anyone has stayed in any of these hotels I would like to here any feed back. Also are there any good features that I should know about. I am interested in a hotel with a nice pool too.

My friend's father and brother are truck drivers. Many times, foriegners tourists would walk into a convenience store in LV, NM and ask the clerk where the casinos were. My friend's father and brother found it hillarious. I found it sad. NM could be mistaken for NV when they made their reservations or plans. Many people spend their life savings traveling to the wrong destination. Waste of money and time. Couldn't travel agents or others been more helpful to prevent that mistake. How else would that happen? Through the internet? Comments? Opinions?

i know they serve free alcohol while playing the games, but i might be renting a car, and am currently on medication that doesn't recommend drinking alcohol while i'm on it. if so, what are some great non-alcoholic drink mixes to recommend?

for a 3 night stay. i will be at the el cortez in downtown, but most likely will spend most the time venturing to all the strip hotels/casinos. factoring the weather (110 degress i hear this time of year), littleoff the strip trips to palms, rio casinos, in-n-out burger, and going to the unlv campus to catch usa basketball scrimmage game; i'm thinking renting a car might not be a bad idea for my duration. what are the opinions of veteran vegas goers?

I'm booking a trip to NYNY and when my total comes up it shows a total and a deposit. I've never booked directly through the hotel and I was wondering when the deposit is charged to my card and when the left over balance is charged?

My guess is the deposit comes out immediately and the balance is billed after I check out. Is this correct?

Also, if the price drops before my trip do I automatically get the better rate even if I booked through one of their online promotions?

Hey all, I'm going to Las Vegas then to California this weekend, can anyone tell me what you think are the best attractions for possibly the cheapest prices? What do you think is worth seeing???? i really don't want to rent a car, but want to do go placeslittle off the strip and downtown such as go to rio, palms, go to in-n-out burger haha. what is the cheapest way to get around vegas? taxi, bus, shuttle, and where can i find them? i want to be budget concious for my accomidations and transport, as told by my stay at el cortez in downtown =D

I have heard that in some of the casinos in Las Vegas you can actually live in an apartment inside the Hotel/casino on the strip. Ive heard that alot of the big casinos on the strip have like residential floors where you can live and enjoy the ammenties of the hotel. Is this just for senior citizens or can anybody do this. Thanks!!!

I absolutely love Las Vegas, I have been there 5 times in the past 4 years and I am going back in Sept. I live in New York where it is very expensive. I love to gamble and I really like the whole Vegas scene. The type of job that I have I know I can pretty much go anywhere and make the same type of money that I make In NY. For the people that live in Vegas do you like it, hate it. I would probably move out to either Henderson or Summerlin or maybe even Lake Las Vegas. How far are these places from the strip, also are there any places really close to the strip that you can live. Thanks.

A group of friends and myself will be in Vegas at the end of July and we're trying to pack our weekend with as much of the Vegas experience that we can. Oh, and whats the deal with the hype about In & Out Burger? We have a few in Cali that are pretty good, but it seems like people are goin crazy over them in Vegas....why?
