How is public transit in the Las Vegas area?

Does it require a car to live there? Or can you do without?

I need a 2-3 bedroom, the dates are Dec. 28th to Jan. 4th. I would like it to be in walking distance to the strip.

Ethyl M Candy factor
Bryce and Zion
Valley of Fire
We like some gambling but not a weeks worth. We were thinking of LV again but don't know what we have missed ?

I'm a 21 year old college girl and want to go to Vegas this summer. Will I look out of place in Las Vegas if I wear jeans, jean skirts, and tank tops? I don't buy designer stuff bc I'm just a college student and I don't live off my parents paying my credit card bills, so I usually shop at Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, Macys, Target, TJ Maxx etc etc...I don't want to look out of my league out there if everyone else is all glammed up

My other choice would be Cancun if we don't go to LAs Vegas

Being only 21 years old, besides gambling, what is there to go? My future husband is going there with his best friend in August to watch the UFC (Ultimate Fight Challenge) match and was just wondering what are some fun things to do there. The will get there Friday night and come home Sunday morning.

There is a margarita room in a vegas hotel that charges you a dollar for an unflavored margarita and 2-3 dollars for flavored ones. I heard there are machine after machine of different flavors you can pick from. I thought it was at the Rio but cant find that out for sure.

Can you take pictures at Hoover Dam? I just got a really nice digital camera and it would take great pics.

^I looked this ques. up on the site, but it confused me. It sounded as if I need to pay like $200.00 in order to do so!


Also, someone told me to go see it at night (when its lit up) but the operating hours are only until 5:00pm. Are they open longer during certain months?

I'm planning a trip with my boy friend really soon and we both want to go there but I heard in all the casinos you have to be 21 because they're also bars? I just wanted to make sure because I'm only 18 and I know there are tons of things to do in Las Vegas, but lets face it, that's just something you have to experience while there.

Even though they don't pay out in "real" coins, do you or can you still imput coins into the slots as opposed to 1's, 5's, etc.? Haven't been in a couple years so not sure. Thanks.

i'm thinking to go to bellagio at 10:30am, eating a little, then do some serious eating at 11, when they change over to lunch. is this ok, or will they make me leave? also, there are some buffets where breakfast ends, and lunch doesn't start for a half hour after. will they let you stay during this time also?
