I personally find McCarran to be one of the easiest airports to navigate, especially considering how busy it is. I've never had problems claiming my bags there. The carousels are labeled as to which airline they serve, and each carousel has its own screen showing which flight numbers are being processed, with the one that's currently unloading flashing. It is a good idea to tie some sort of ribbon onto your bag to make it easier to spot. (But red seems to be a common choice, so I'd choose something else.)

I live in Vegas and have to fly out of McCarran about twice a month. The airport is busy, but easy to get from ticketing to terminal and terminal to baggage. However, getting your luggage takes time. I usually wait 30 to 45 minutes for my luggage to make it to baggage claim. Make sure you keep your ticket stubs, b/c about 25% of the time there is someone checking to make sure you have the right bags.

Baggage claim is no slower than any other airport . Once you get your luggage, the strip is only about 10 minutes away. The airport is right next to it.

It is one of the biggest I have ever seen since there is 1 central area for all of the terminals except the International. Just make sure you get the carousel number before getting there and you will be fine. A couple of nice things about it is that its close to ground transport and also has hotel check-ins for several casinos right there.

Very busy, but usually once the bags start coming off the planes, you can be on your way to a casino in 15 to 20 minutes!

I live here and love this place.
But this is one of the worst airports in America.
Slow, is a nice word to use when referencing this place.
I will take carry on only as this place is notorious for its delays.
Sorry

We didn't have any trouble. We landed and I waited at the carousel (easily labeled with our flight) and my husband checked us into our hotel room (some of the hotels have check-in there). I think I waited about 20 minutes from the time I got down there to get our bags.

It is really busy. I tied a ribbon onto my bag. that really helped me find it and get to my hotel fast. Try a light green , blue , red ribbon.
