I am moving in a couple of months to Vegas and unfortunately I won't be able to come and visit before the move. I'm not bringing much with me just my computer and my clothes everything else is being sold and my computer will be shipped. I don't have a car but plan to get one a couple of months (hopefully) after I move and have found a job. My question is because I don't have a car and probably will be working on the strip (baker, pastry cook) I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for any extended stay type motels where I will be accessible to buses (no more than $200wk) just till I can find a job and get stabled. I'm nervous and want to know if anyone has every came out here the same way... no car, no job, no apartment? Please help!!! and thanxs in advance.

My name is Mike. I am in my thirties and I just got layed off from my banking job. I am enrolling in bartending school to become a bartender and then my dream is to move to Las Vegas and become a bartender at a nightclub. Can someone out there tell me what that will take ? How can I accomplish that goal with no experience ?

I heard someone say the slot machines located near the entrance door tend to be loose, and players have better chance on winnings? what is your take on this idea of loose machines at your favorite casino?

I would really appreciate your help/recommendation on Las Vegas Buffets.

I am definitely craving for some crab legs, lobster, peeled shrimp, and SUSHI, and some amazing salad bar. However, it doesn't have to be seafood buffet only.

Please, let me know if your recommended buffet has LOBSTER, CRAB LEGS, and SUSHI.

I am planning on going during the weekdays only.

I've been browsing through some previous LV buffet questions and the RIO was one of those mentioned the most often.

Thank you so much for your answers!

I'm planning to visit Las Vegas for my 21st birthday. I'll be going mid-January. I will be there for 5days/4nights. I'm not looking to splurge, but I'm not really on a budget either. I was just wondering what hotels offer the most bang for your buck though. From what I've seen the majority of them offer some combination of casinos, nightlife, shows, swimming, and spa luxuries. Is there any that come with these included in your room? What are the shows to check out while you're there? Any other tips for the entire experience would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are Penn & Teller tickets available for half price on the strip the day of the show like I have seen for other shows? I think the place I saw the half price tickets last year was near the M&M world, is that right?

Thanks

A guy friend, who I've known for about a year now, but have only actually seen him 4 or 5 times in the last year, and I took a walk from downtown Vegas to the Stratosphere at around 12:30-1 in the morning.

My sister had gotten married on 07-07-07. He was the best man in the wedding, so this has nothing to do with his trust or walking with him. I hung out with him a lot while we were there; unfortunately, it didn't lead to anything else, which is another story in itself. It just has to do with taking the walk.

When my mom found out, she didn't yell at me but pretty much told me it was a stupid thing to do because that's a really unsafe part of town. He's 28, I'm 26, so it's not like we're kids. It didn't seem to be that bad. We saw a couple of crazy people but nothing that really scared me.

My hubby and I decided this last minute, so we have to do our research...obviously $ is very important. We are flying out from NYC. It will be our first time ever in Vegas. Any nice, clean hotel ideas by the strip besides the pricey ones?
Also, any other suggestions would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance!

My mom, sister, grandma, and I are traveling to Las Vegas in the end of August. We are staying in NYNY and I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions. My grandma is in a wheel chair, so we have to keep that in mind when doing things outside our hotel. We will only be there for two full days, so I know we won't be able to do everything- but we wanted to take my grandma who loves to play slots! So I'm specifically looking for things to do at our hotel or near our hotel!

In case of any emergency I don't want to have to drive to a corner store. I don't want to carry them with me on my travel to Vegas. Anyone know if the hotel's bathrooms or casino bathrooms have condom dispensers? thx!

I want to go for 2 nights. I am coming from the LA area. I will be driving to Las Vegas. I do not want to spend a lot on a hotel room, but I want to be on the strip. Do you have any suggestions. I like nice, clean rooms. Are there any promo codes that I can use. I get them all the time in my email, and now I have to go for my friend's wedding. Thank you for your time in advance!!! :)
