A couple of options for you.

The "Lied Children's Discovery Museum"
1-702-382-3445 - $6 for kids
They have a hundred or so hands on exhibits

Either the
Kids Tyme at Orleans
Or
Kids Quest at Boulder Station
Both would allow a bunch of 5YO boys to burn off a lot of energy.

The Fantasy Faire Midway at Excalibur - This one is MUCH nicer than the one at Circus Circus

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat - Mirage
I hear they just had a baby Dolphin born at the habitat. From what I understand it's extremely rare to have a dolphin born in captivity. I believe this is the second one for them, Peekaboo(sp?) was born around 1994

The Lied Discovery Museum is a great place for a party. They provide the cake, ice cream, punch, and a t shirt for the birthday boy. They set the time for the party room usage but guests can come as early as they would like and stay until they close. Who knows they might even learn something playing with the interactive exhibits.

My daughter has gone to a couple parties at Skymania: http://www.skymaniafuncenters.com/ They are basically a gigantic trampoline and the kids have a lot of fun. There's one side for smaller kids so they don't get trampled. Pump it Up is another fun one along those lines: http://piuhome.com/StoreHome.aspx?StoreID=104&PageName=StoreHome.aspx

Crystal Palace skating rink is where my daughter's last party was. Then there's always Chuck E Cheese or Peter Piper. Michael's Craft store has parties where the kids can do age appropriate crafts.

Depending on the part of town you live in, I would think going to the Mini Grand Prix on Rainbow and Vegas Drive, or something to burn off some the energy that 5 year olds are known for ( I have one myself ) You could also take them to SkyZone, it is one the east side of town. Hope you have fun and Happy birthday!

just had my 5 year old daughters birthday at a bowling ally...check out The Olreans or The Gold Coast, it was cheap, they serve pizza and chicken fingers in their snack area and they will put bumpers up on the lanes for the little ones. We had about 7 little girls and they had a GREAT time! They even had lighter bowling balls and small bowling shoes.

Circus Circus is about the most kid-friendly place in Vegas, which is getting less and less kid-friendly all the time.
