I want to go for 2 nights. I am coming from the LA area. I will be driving to Las Vegas. I do not want to spend a lot on a hotel room, but I want to be on the strip. Do you have any suggestions. I like nice, clean rooms. Are there any promo codes that I can use. I get them all the time in my email, and now I have to go for my friend's wedding. Thank you for your time in advance!!! :)

The Luxor is a very nice 4 star hotel

Luxor - Special "MVP" - Promotion code "LDNON10"
phone reservations - 1-888-777-0188

"any suggestions" - since you're driving and will have your car, why not stay off the strip, it will save you a lot of $$.

Orleans>1 mile west of the strip on Tropicana

Stratosphere>North end of the strip

Gold Coast>1 mile west of the strip on Flamingo

To compare room rates

This site uses "travelaxe" which compares 15 or so of the top discount travel sites - this should give you a good idea or the rates and many LV hotels will price match.

If you just want to try one travel site - IMHO this one generally has the best rates.

I would priceline a 5 star hotel on the strip, north and south. You can't go wrong with a 5 star. Wynn, Venetian, Caesar's palace, Mandalay Bay, Palazzo, Bellagio(I've never known this to come up on priceline though), and maybe MGM Grand(but I think it's a 4 star). All of these have large rooms and Venetian (which I have won twice on priceline) is an all suite property. In my experience with priceline, the Wynn and Venetian are won quite often at around $100-$130 a night. Good Luck!

I have a few on my website for Luxor, NYNY, Signature at MGM and Venetian at...

The Venetian offer is incredibly good for a 5 star hotel. Probably one of the best email offers I have ever seen.
