There are a few that stop at Hoover Dam but not many that take the tour. For example:

This tour stops for 15 minutes at the Dam on the way to the Grand canyon.

The problem is that if you stop too long at the Hoover Dam you just don't have the time to see the Grand Canyon.

Good Luck and enjoy the trip.

Alllasvegastours.com - viator.com -allgrandcanyontours.com - looktours.com -tours4fun.com are all the same company based out of Australia. 1 day tours to the canyon (West or south rims ) have only 1 stop for 15 minutes at Hoover Dam to view it from above at the lookout. Remember it's a grand canyon tour and not a Hoover Dam Tour. Also look for the fuel fees, in the fine print added to the cost. The cost will average from $72.00 up to $239.00. The above mentioned tour brokers use GrayLine for the bus tours with check in at the terminal. for around $75.00. Same tour with vegastours.com is $72.00. Sweetours can be had for $79.00 ( 1/2 price ) at vegastours.com. No check in...and is top rated and no check in If you want a full tour of the South then vegastours.com has a great suntset ground tour for $160.00 and fully guided.

Thats because in an offered tour its not possible to see both in one day. There will be other people that want to take a billion pics and the Hoover Dam is about a 4-6 hour tour including travel time from Vegas. To properly view the full beauty of the Grand Canyon, one should take the trip by pack mule to the canyon floor and back. I think its a 2 or 3 day trip. If you dont have that kind of time and dont want to sleep under the stars, take the helicopter ride into the canyon.

If you're looking to only go to the West Rim, Papillon has several tours where you can go through and visit the Hoover Dam for a little bit then continue on to the West Rim for time to see Eagle Point, Guano Point, and the Skywalk (expensive and overrated). The West Rim is located on Hualapai Indian lands.

If you're looking to do Hoover Dam and South Rim in one day though, it's not possible since from Vegas to the South Rim is a good 5 hour drive.

Either way, have fun!

an entire Grand Canyon excursion time such as making use of from Las Vegas to the Canyon west rim will commonly final approximately 10 hours whilst a excursion to the canyon south rim will commonly encompass an 18-hour day such as rigidity time. choosing a Grand Canyon Helicopter excursion or airplane excursion is in lots of situations a lots wiser determination as you are able to go away from Las Vegas and particularly make your Grand Canyon holiday a 0.5-outing.
