Ellis Island Casino and also Sam's Town. Very reasonable.
Mandaly Bay dinner buffet on Sunday has lots of sea food, and reasonable as well.

The reasonably priced meal in Vegas is not dead. The best deals are found off of the strip if you go to a multibillion dollar hotel the over head is higher therefore the prices are higher. Surf and Turf is still available for under $10 Just not at the new high end casinos the other great deal is the buffet gone is the overcooked heat lamped food the new trend is the cooking stations with vast varieties of food many casinos offer Friday seafood buffets with all you can eat crab legs and such these run $20-$30 on average. Look in the free magazines in the airports and hotels they have great coupons and deals for the taking.

There is a restaurant at the 4 Queens coffee shop downtown that serves Surf and Turf for 11.99 or 12.99, I believe between 4 and 10PM. But when I went, the place was packed and I didn't want to wait.
Tony Romas has a Prime Rib special between 4 and 6PM that is 7.99 and it is very good.
The coffee shop in the California has Prime Rib for $10.
The $5 Steak dinner at Ellis Island is awesome and one of the best values.
The Hard Rock has a coffee shop called lucky 7s that I believe has a Steak and shrimp special for 777 but I'm not positive.
Most of the bargains are downtown and off-strip. But there are some still out there.

The Palms buffet is affordable - lunch is $9.99 a person - and with teenagers, you want to fill them up. (I think dinner there is about $14.99) Generally, the hotel food courts are fairly affordable - because they want your money in the slots or at the tables. Otherwise, you're looking a schelp off the Strip to a place like InNOut or something, and if you're not renting a car, the cab fare will offset the cheapness. But, if you are renting a car, drive down Sunset Road, or Flamingo, or Tropicana, and you can find just about anything you want within five miles of the Strip. Also, as someone else said, eat on the later side for lunch (we call it "lupper" -lunch/supper) and you'll pay lunch prices. Then, you can probably get away with a lighter dinner - even appetizers as dinner.

Why don't people answer the question?
$10: There was a Surf buffet at the Boardwalk, but that closed last year. I don't know of any other cheap seafood buffets with lobster. Cheap lobster? Like someone else said. You don't want that. The Plaza (downtown) has a special and so does Tuscany (I think it's on FlamingO).

Las Vegas is the most fascinating and entertaining town on the planet and with hotelbye you will see out more. Nowhere otherwise on the planet you may find an area that's all the journey amenities that merely a total resort location will offer: luxurious casino accommodations, fine eating, great stay amusement and state-of-the art conference and deal show facilities. Las Vegas is surely a spectacular city and anything that you would expect from the world-class metropolis, and more, is below for your vacation pleasure. One of many areas you must visit in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street, a pedestrian area with all kinds of distinctive sites.

The meal you are describing can be had at the Plaza downtown. At Binions they have steak and lobster for 9.99. The lobster was good but the steak was a bit tough. They gave the meal for FREE.
As a rule there are good buys on meals downtown but not as fancy. This includes the buffets.
Personally, I prefer staying downtown.....Fremont Street/Experience is wonderful......and the area is much cheaper.

there are some cheap places to eat, but you really have to look for them now. There is nothing like this on the strip. you have to go downtown or one of the off strip casinos to find good deals on food. Most of the strip hotels have really raised the prices on their food and have high class restaurants in the hotels.. its no longer the old way of gamble and everything else is free. its now gamble, pay for your rooms, pay for your food, pay for your entertainment, and pay for everything.. i really liked the old vegas more
