YES, The El Cortez provides a free shuttle to and from McCarran airport.

You do have to let them know ahead of time, that you plan to use the shuttle, and the shuttle does not run all day/night.

We just got home from a month long stay in LV and stayed at the El Cortez 4 nights. >Room 815, tower, very nice room with a view of the strip. The rooms at the EC are much nicer and much larger than I had been led to believe.

You could catch the bus from the airport to downtown for $1.25 - both the #108 Paradise and #109 Maryland Parkway North bus run to Fremont Street and the DTC

To catch the bus from McCarran go to "ground level transportation 0" the bus stops about every 6 minutes.

Las Vegas Free Shuttle

The Airport shuttle will go to the ElCo but there isn't a specific Elco shuttle. The cost is around 8 dollars per trip.

The Deuce is 5 dollars for 24 hour pass and picks up right at the end of Fremont Street (at Neonopolis). The CAT bus service is good and I found that the 5 dollars was a great budget buy.

There are shuttles from Bally's and Harrahs to the Rio\Palms\Gold Coast.

You shouldn't have any trouble getting a shuttle to drop you off at the El Cortez, I've never stayed there, heard they have upgraded..but would probably stay at one of the other Fremont streeet Casinos..a little more expensive, but The Fitzgerald, Four queens, Fremont, Plaza, Golden Gate, are all very convenient one to the other, I prefer the hotels on fremont street myself, and we taxi to the strip or bus if we aren't in a hurry to get there....but most of the time we just like to stay on Fremont Street, the casinos are all close together, and the El cortez is a little off the beaten path...I wouldn't like to walk to it by myself at 2 am, where the others listed above I feel very safe by myself even at 3 or 4 am!

Yes, the shuttle vans include the El Cortez in their route.

ALSO: By the way, the Golden Gate and the Vegas Club are just as cheap as the El Cortez and are way safer. The El Cortez is 2 blocks east of the pedestrian mall downtown, and anything much outside that is not safe at night.
