I'm heading to Vegas in mid-August and looking to save some bucks by buying cases of beer and drinking before I go out at night. What are the case prices like in Vegas?

Also, what are the open container laws there?

Terribles Casino gift shop and the Gold Coast Casino gift shop have the best prices in Vegas for liquor and beer. an 18 pack of miller lite usually runs 9.99 - 10.99 for bottles at the gas stations around town. and yes - you'll be free to roam around downtown or the strip with an open bottle . . . just don't get all crazy and stupid because, technically, it's NOT legal, but as long as you are *somewhat* behaving yourself - nobody will bother you. have a GREAT time!!

If you go to places like CVS (right next to Monte Carlo Casino) or Longs or any other small convenient stores, you can get the cases of beer for just a dollar or two more than you would at your neighborhood stores. For example, a 12pk of Corona would set you back about $10-11 (domestic are about $6-7 for a 12 pack) if you got a decent deal, a few more dollars if you happen to go at a busy time. But compare than to almost $6 per beer when you go to high end bars and clubs on the strip and its very cheap.

I would suggest CVS (like a RiteAid or Longs Drugs), that way you can buy water, snacks, and other things like toothpaste in just one trip.

Have fun and hope this helps.

Terrible's wine and liquor has the best prices. There are also, Albertson's and Wal-Mart super centers.

If you're staying downtown, there is a Walgreens and an ABC store on Fremont Street.

You can walk around in LV with a drink, so long as you behave yourself. You will see hundreds of people with drinks on the Strip, Fremont Street, etc.
